The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 862 new cases of COVID-19.
Today’s report brings the state’s total number of cases up to 103,681. With the confirmation 6 additional deaths, 3,080 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.
While this is just the second day over 800 new cases since early September, both of those reports have come this week — 975 cases were confirmed on Tuesday.
In the latest data from the MSDH, overall hospitalizations increased for the fourth straight day.
As of Monday, an estimated 90,577 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
