The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 578 new cases of COVID-19.
Today’s report brings the state’s total number of cases up to 102,819. With the confirmation of 23 additional deaths, 3,074 Mississippians have passed away from the virus.
*MSDH Note: 10 COVID-19 related deaths occurred between August 19 and September 29, identified from death certificate reports.
Overall hospitalizations remained stable in the latest data from the MSDH (Wednesday’s report).
As of Monday, the MSDH is able to estimate that 90,577 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
