Planning to cast your vote in the November 3rd general election?  Secretary of State Michael Watson says some election deadlines have changed since the beginning of the year.

What follows is an easy-to-reference guide for the most important deadlines leading up to the November 3rd general election.

September 4th – Absentee ballot applications will be available in the Circuit Clerks’ Office for the November 3rd general election. Absentee ballots will not be available at this time.

September 19th – UOCAVA Absentee Ballot Transmitted: Circuit Clerks’ Offices send absentee ballots for the general election (and any possible runoff election) to UOCAVA voters who requested an absentee ballot this calendar year, i.e., since Jan. 1, 2020.  This is for overseas citizens and military personnel who are stationed overseas.

September 21st – This is the first day absentee ballots will be prepared. and the earliest day to vote by an absentee ballot in your Circuit Clerk’s Office in the General Election.

October 5th – This is the deadline to register to vote in the November 3rd general election.  Applicants who register in-person in your Circuit Clerk’s office on this day and those who mail registration applications postmarked no later than this day are eligible to vote in the General Election.

October 31st – This is the last day for in-person absentee voting at your Circuit Clerk’s office.  This is on a Saturday, and Circuit Clerks’ Offices will be OPEN from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
