Last week, Mississippi casinos wondered what March would look like without the NCAA Tournament, but now, all of the state’s casinos will close their doors as the coronavirus pandemic threatens public safety.
Earlier today, President Trump presented new guidelines that urge everyone to avoid gatherings of 10 people or more which has led the decision to close the state’s casinos.

According to a release from the Mississippi Gaming Commission, the casinos will be closed “until further notice” and the situation will be evaluated on a daily basis.
A similar action has also been taken in Louisiana as Mississippi’s neighboring state set to close its casinos for at least 14 days.
