OXFORD, Miss. — Three people have been arrested with the ongoing investigation of an Ole Miss graduate student found dead Monday in Lafayette County.
Zacharias McClendon was 25-years-old and from Gulfport, Miss.
According to the Oxford Eagle, Steven Matthew Wilbanks, 22, of North Carolina; Derrick Boone, 23 of Laurel and Joseph Lyons, 20, of Houston, Texas have all been taken into custody and charged with capital murder.
Evidently all three men have been students on and off at Ole Miss for some time.
The lead investigator tells the Oxford Eagle that the motive for the death was robbery.
