The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert for 64-year-old Willie C. Purnell, also known as “Nor” of Belzoni in Humphreys County.
Purnell was last seen on January 2nd at about 10 a.m. in the vicinity of the Zip Trip on Highway 49 in Humphreys County. While at the convenience store, witnesses say Purnell accepted a ride in a small black Nissan car, but the year, make of model and the tag number are unknown. There is also no description of the person who was driving the Nissan.
Purnell is described as a black male, 5’6” tall, weighing 160 pounds with greying hair and black eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt, and a gray sweater. The MBI stated that he may be accompanied by an unknown person.
Family members say Mr. Purnell suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.
