Democrat Candidate for the Third Congressional District, Michael Ted Evans is taking a different approach to campaigning leading up to the election. Evans is a chicken farmer from Peston, Mississippi and is spending his last few days of campaigning going town to town on a tractor tour.
“I know a lot of candidates, they run around the state on buses and might fly in an airplane,” Evans said in a video on his Facebook page. “But we’re gonna reach out and do what the ole country folks like. We’re gonna come see you personally and the way we gone do this, we gone do this on this old tractor right here.”
Evans started the tractor tour on Tuesday the 23rd and said he will be visiting all 24 counties in the Third Congressional District before election day on November 6th.
“If you see me coming by, just blow your horn and wave at me,” Evans said. “If you’ve got a question you want to ask me, just pull over on the side of the road and we’ll answer it. “If I see you out in your yard, I’m going to stop and give you a card and ask you for your vote.”
