The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics has launched a new website for asset forfeiture actions taken on behalf of state and local law enforcement agencies, as mandated by the Legislature in 2017.
MBN Director John Dowdy said every law enforcement agency that does civil asset forfeiture in Mississippi will track them and they can be viewed at www.forfeiture.ms.gov.
Rankin County State Representative Mark Baker said the launching of the new website for asset forfeiture actions could not have been done without law enforcement and elected officials hard work.
“Commissioner Fisher and Director Dowdy and their staffs, our local sheriffs in the area, Sheriff Bryan Bailey and Randy Tucker, and our District Attorney Michael Guest in Madison and Rankin Counties were very helpful in the process and should be commended for their hard work and I certainly appreciate them as chairman of the task force to get this to this point,” said Baker.
