Two Golden residents were arrested for methamphetamine earlier this week.
31 year-old Travis Miller and 44 year-old Christy Payne were pulled over by the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office for seatbelt violations. The driver was arrested for a suspended drivers license and after the vehicle was searched they were both arrested for meth found inside the vehicle.
While Payne was being searched in the Tishomingo County Jail, officers discovered more meth and pipes hidden on her. She immediately became sick and was transported to the hospital where her condition remains unknown.
Miller was officially charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
