UTICA, Miss.–It was not clear whether or not Sharice Latham knew about her boyfriend’s past. Now Michael Wright is believed to have killed Latham’s uncle and was on the run Thursday, after kidnapping Latham.
The two had recently broken up and Wednesday morning it turned deadly. Hinds County deputies said about 10:30, Wright went to his ex-girlfriend’s uncle’s house in Utica and shot the uncle, Jerry Brent, 55, in the head, killing him.
He ten kidnapped Latham and the two were believed to be in her 2000 Nissan Sentra, license plate HNS 690.
Wright, 37, of Canton, is accusewd of killing another girlfriend Christmas 2012 in Panola County. He was out of jail on a half million dollar bond in that case.
