Yesterday morning, a single car crash on U.S. 61 left one man dead and another injured in Vicksburg.
Around 11 a.m., a truck which was hauling a utility trailer drove off the road into a ravine; the trailer then crashed onto the top of the truck, trapping the two passengers.
Vicksburg PD says that the driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Landon Overstreet died in the crash. The passenger, 19 year-old Christopher Fortenberry was airlifted to the UMMC, his condition has not been released.
The Vicksburg PD is investigating the cause of the accident.
