An ex-North Mississippi Catholic Priest has been convicted of sexually assaulting a child.
The Reverend Robert Poandl served as a priest in Aberdeen, Amory, Okolona, Houston and Fulton between 1968 and 73. The 72 year old was found guilty a couple of days ago of taking a 10 year old Cincinnati boy to a church in West Virginia in 1991 and sexually assaulting him there. So far no one has reported any sexual misconduct in Mississippi. But the Catholic Bishop for Mississippi says if you know anyone who may have been a victim of Poandl in the state, you should report it.
