Holmes County Sheriff Willie March confirmed this morning that 61-year-old Paul Sharp was found dead inside his home on Old Highway 49 on Wednesday.
March said that the do not have any suspects but they are currently receiving names for possible leads.
Preliminary findings show that Sharp suffered trauma to the head, and there were no signs of forced entry to the home leading investigators to believe the suspect may be someone that Sharp knew. Findings indicate that while the body was found on Wednesday, Sharp may have been killed days before he was found by police.
The investigation is ongoing, and the body will be sent for an autopsy to be performed to determine the cause of death.
