The pleasant weather enjoyed by nearly everyone in the southeast has come to a thunderous halt.
“It’ll be typical for what we see during the summertime, when we get this humid air coming up from the Gulf,” says Nicholas Fenner with the National Weather Service in Jackson.
He says a few storms could be strong, perhaps even marginally severe as the weekend approaches.
Areas of south Mississippi can expect to see rain starting Wednesday, but the entire state is looking at heavy rains and scattered thunderstorms throughout the weekend.
