The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has released more information about the 8 people killed in Saturday night’s violent shooting spree in Lincoln County.

- Shelia Burage, age 46
- Austin Blackwell, age 11
- Jordan Blackwell, age 17
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed Willie Cory Godbolt was taken into custody following a deadly night in Bogue Chitto Sunday morning.
Godbolt, upon capture, was treated for a gunshot wound.
8 people were killed, according to Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesperson Warren Strain.
The shooting spree began at approximately 11:30 (CDT) with a domestic call at 2871 Lee Drive in Bogue Chitto where Godbolt allegedly shot Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy William Durr, 36, Barbara Mitchell, 55, her daughter, Toccarra May, 35, and Mitchell’s sister, Brenda May, 53.
The second crime scene was located at 1658 Coopertown Road in Brookhaven, the bodies of two juvenile males (Austin Blackwell, age 11 and Jordan Blackwell, age 17) were located there.
The third crime scene was located at 312 East Lincoln Road, where Ferral Burage, age 45 and his wife, Shelia Burage, age 46, were recovered from their home.
The suspect has been identified as 35-year-old Willie Corey Godbolt of 377 Brister Street in Bogue Chitto.
The deceased deputy has been identified as 36-year-old William Durr. Durr was a two year veteran of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and a four year veteran of the Brookhaven Police Department.
