Family and friends gathered at Parham Bridges Park in Jackson to remember the life of 6-year-old Kingston Frazier.

Frazier was found dead, shot multiple times, in Madison County last week. He was abducted in his mothers car that was stolen from the I-55 Kroger in Jackson.

Those in attendance spelled out Kingston’s name in tiny tea lights on the concrete floor of the park pavilion. Once the crowd gathered loved ones spoke words of comfort and encouragement to his family.

“This is something that is heartbreaking for my family,” said Kingston’s uncle Martin Archie. “My sister is holding up, but she did lose her 6-year-old son, and we lost a family member.”

Archie thanked the community for the phone calls, cards, and outpouring of love the family has received in this time of tragedy. His message to anyone listening:

“It is time to stop the violence. You’ve got to wake up and open your eyes, every community, we have to help law enforcement officers cut the violence,” said Archie.
