Another round of severe weather is expected to move into the state Wednesday.
According to Joan Culin with the National Weather Service, a low pressure system will gradually move into the area and will lead to rain and thunderstorms late Wednesday night.
“Some of the model information that we look at is suggesting that the main focus maybe a little bit further south of the I-20 corridor,” said Culin.
With this storm comes the possibility of hail, strong winds and flooding.
“We are not expecting anything that was as bad as what we saw Sunday,” Said Culin. “ Maybe some severe weather and possibly some flooding starting late Wednesday into Wednesday night.”
According to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, Sundays storms left damage in more than 25 counties.
