According to the National Weather Service the weather for Wednesday is looking less sunny and bright with potential severe storms in the Delta moving through the central portion of the state.
Storms are expected to move west to east across the state and should be in the Meridian area by the early evening hours. The most severe threats should hit after midnight.
“There will be a risk of tornadoes, quarter size hail and strong winds,” according to meteorologist Marc Mcallister with NWS.
The activity should last until 5:00 a.m. in the morning and will move out early Thursday, after sunrise.
The high will be around 80 degrees and drop as the rains begin.
