A Hancock County driver recently released from jail on a DUI charge has been arrested again after drinking-and-driving and injuring three people in a head-on crash.
Desmond Coogans, 59, has been arrested and charged with DUI leading to serious injury or death.
According to multiple news outlets, Coogans had been driving his truck in the wrong direction on U.S. 90 when he crashed head-on into an SUV, Wednesday.
Two of the three people inside the SUV had to be taken to a nearby hospital and treated for serious injuries.
Prior to Coogans Wednesday arrest, he had been released from jail Tuesday for an earlier DUI charge.
