JACKSON, Miss. — The fight over Mississippi’s only abortion clinic heads to federal court this spring.
A judge Friday says jury selections will began March 3. The Jackson Women’s Health Organization sued the state last year over a new law requiring all its OB-GYNs to have admitting privileges at a local hospital. The owner of that clinic says they tired after the law was passed but no hospital would give the privilege to out of state doctors; and their OB-GYNs don’t live in the state.
