JACKSON- The City of Jackson announced that contractors will begin work on Greenway Drive on Tuesday March 28.
The construction comes as part of Operation Orange Cone, the cities major streets program that is funded by the 1 cent municipal sales tax.
The Greenway Drive construction will take place between Robinson Rd Ext and Maddox Rd in West Jackson. The street will remain open, but lanes will be reduced to one and flagmen will assist in directing traffic.
If this is part of your normal commute you should plan for traffic stoppages and delays, or pick an alternate route. Also, drive with caution when coming around this and all work zones.
