For anyone affected by the January tornadoes it isn’t too late to apply for a disaster loan. The deadline is March 27, 2017.
To apply for a disaster loan for yourself, business, or non-profit you must submit an application with the U.S. Small Business Administration before March 27.
These loans are for anyone in declared counties that were damaged due to the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding that occurred on Jan. 20-21, 2017.
The declarations cover Forrest, Lamar, Lauderdale, and Perry counties. Those areas are eligible for physical and economic injury disaster loans from the SBA. Small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations in Clarke, Covington, George, Greene, Jasper, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Kemper, Marion, Neshoba, Newton, Pearl River, Stone, and Wayne counties in Mississippi are also eligible for Economic Injury Disaster Loans.

To file an application for physical property damage apply by March 27, 2017. To apply for economic injury loans submit an application by Oct. 25, 2017.
