Social media giant Mark Zuckerburg made two stops in Mississippi during his road trip across America with wife Priscilla Chan.
His trip through the South this week is part of Zuckerburg’s goal to visit every state in the U.S. He and his wife first visited our neighbor, Alabama, before heading on to the Magnolia state.
Once they arrived they first went through Clarksdale for a taste of the real blues at the Ground Zero Blues Club. This is the place where the blues were born. There they met with local artists who have dedicate their lives to keeping the blues part of American culture.
Zuckerburg then paid his respects to the brave men and women whe are laid to rest in Vicksburg at the National Cemetery. In his Facebook post he brought attention to how near our history is to us, especially in these small towns throughout our state.
After spending his time in Mississippi, Mark and Priscilla went west to Louisiana for a little taste of that Cajun cuisine.
