Left lane bill.
Picture this: You’re settled behind the wheel on 1-55 and you want to pass a big 18-wheeler.
But there’s an indulgent driver hogging the left lane. Not passing in the left lane. Staking it out like he/she owns it!
Rep. Charles Busby of District 111 feels your pain. Busby is co-sponsoring a bill (along with Representative Mark Formby), that would slap a fine on those who like to kibbutz in the left lane.
Busby describes the impetus behind HB511.
The fines are only five to fifty bucks, but the goal is to give drivers pause, and ideally promote respect for the safety of fellow motorists.
