A man in George County is impersonating a police officer. The sheriff’s department became aware of the deception after someone reported they were pulled over this week, by a man driving a dark sedan. The car was sporting blue lights in the dash, similar to the lights in undercover police vehicles. The reporting motorist was pulled over by the Caucasian fake officer, who was carrying a gun and handcuffs. The impersonator is described as 6 feet tall, with short blonde hair.
Be aware when driving in George county, particularly in Lucedale.
If you suspect you are being blue-lighted by an impersonator, you are advised by the George County Sheriff’s Office to dial 911.
