ATTALA COUNTY, Miss.- A 12-year-old has died after a hunting accident in Attala County, according to local officials.
Very few details have been released at this time, but the accident did happen near McCool which is in Eastern Attala County.
Sheriff Tim Nail told local media the child is not from Attala County and that the family was in town visiting at the time of the accident.
No details have been confirmed but News Mississippi has reached out to the authorities handing the investigation and will provide details as they become available.
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and Attala County Sheriff’s Dept. are handling the case.
