NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss.–A child is dead after being run over by a truck on a family farm in rural Noxubee County Monday. The accident happened shortly after 3 on a farm in a close-knit Mennonite community.
The child’s name-Kirby Theodore Deck, 9.
WCBI-TV in Columbus reported the child was sitting on a trailer and fell off before he was run over by a 3/4 ton truck.
The parents drove the child to a local bakery. He was then picked up by an ambulance and driven to Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle, where he died of chest trauma.
