JACKSON, Miss.- Samsung and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phone.
The recall comes after reports that the batteries can over heat, explode, or even catch fire.
Nearly 2.5 million phones have been sold so far and Samsung has recalled around one million of them. Originally, the company promised replacement devices, but regulators have put that on hold while an investigation is done.
Unfortunately for Samsung, the recall comes at the same time their rival, Apple, has released the newest iPhone model.
This is Samsung’s most expensive phone and one that is in high demand.
