Ole Miss defeats Wofford in front of record crowd

OLE MISS– The Rebels defeated the Wofford Terriers 38-13 in front of a record crowd in Oxford Saturday.

Quarterback Chad Kelly passed for 219 yards and scored three touchdowns in front of the 64, 232 fans who crowded the newly renovated Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. This was a record crowd not only for the school, but it was the largest crowd to see a football game in the state of Mississippi, according to Ole Miss officials.

This win came just five days after the loss to Florida State in Orlando 45-34. The loss brought motivation to this game, as the Rebs led at halftime 24-3.

Next week, Ole Miss hosts Alabama in Oxford. They’ve won the last two matchups with the Tide.
