JACKSON, Miss.–The temporary injunction placed on the open carry law in the state was upheld on Friday by a Hinds County Judge.
Judge Winston Kidd kept the injunction in place banning the law from going into effect saying the language is too unconstitutionally vague.
Kidd said that the Mississippi Legislature must amend or clarify House Bill 2 but likelihood of a special session coming from this at $60,000 per day is slim to none.
The issue now will likely go to the Mississippi Supreme Court.
