With the threat of severe weather in Mississippi tonight and Saturday, several St. Patrick’s Day parades have been canceled or rescheduled. For the coast, the worst weather is expected Saturday afternoon, with wind gusts over 60 mph, hail the size of a quarter, and tornadoes possible.
Waveland’s parade has been moved to Sunday at 2 p.m. on its original route. It was originally scheduled for Saturday.
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Pass Christian is now rolling at 1 p.m. Sunday. That one was also supposed to take place on Saturday.
The parade in downtown Biloxi has been moved up to noon on Saturday. It was originally scheduled to roll at 2 p.m.
The St. Patrick’s Night Parade in Pascagoula has been canceled. The parade was originally scheduled to roll at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
