JACKSON, MISS–Music legend Prince–born Prince Rogers Nelson–was found dead in his Minnesota home studio today at the age of 57.
Last week, Prince was aboard a plane when it was forced to land after the artists struggled with influenza.
Prince was a singer, a songwriter, talented in many instruments with many hits including “Purple Rain and 1999.”
Prince was added to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. His album “Purple Rain,” released in 1984, is said to be one of the greatest recordings to come from that decade by the Recording Industry Association of America. He continued making music until 2014, when he released two albums: “Art Official Age” and “Plectrum Electrum.”
Collaborating with other greats like Cyndi Lauper, Stevie Knicks, Madonna and Chaka Khan; Prince’s influence in the entertainment industry will be missed.
