Football season will officially wrap up this weekend with the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles squaring off on the gridiron in Super Bowl LIX. But one Mississippi high school is looking to stir up enthusiasm for the next campaign.
Tupelo High School, the reigning 7A state champions, looked to infuse a little humor in the release of its upcoming schedule. Students at Parkway Elementary School were presented with the logos of the high school’s opponents for the 2025 season and tasked with guessing the mascot.
Their answers, which can be found in the video below, will not fail to leave you with a smile.

“After an exciting 2024 season that culminated in a state championship, it’s now time to move forward to 2025 and get set for the 2025 schedule release,” Tupelo Sports Information Director Dillon Hutton said.
The Blue Wave defeated Brandon 28-16 in the title contest this past December, marking Tupelo’s first championship in 32 years. The two juggernauts will square off in a rematch on August 29. Brandon will host the game.
