The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has announced several closures as a dangerous winter mix moves through the state.
The following county health departments will be closed on Friday: Alcorn, Attala, Benton, Bolivar, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Clay, Coahoma, DeSoto, Grenada, Itawamba, Kemper, Lafayette, Lee, Lowndes, Marshall, Monroe, Neshoba, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica, Union, Webster, Winston, and Yalobusha.
The following county health departments have delayed opening Friday until 10 a.m.: Carroll, Leflore, Montgomery, Sunflower, and Washington.
MSDH noted that the status of the aforementioned county health departments could change based on the weather.

All other county health departments are scheduled to open at 8 a.m.
