‘Tis the season to be jolly, and likely on the move, as the holidays produce the busiest travel periods yearly.
Mississippi’s largest airport is gearing up for an influx of travelers from the Friday before Christmas until a few days after the New Year. The Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) has marked Dec. 20-29 as the expected peak for air travelers with Jan. 2-6 serving as another stint slated to bring forth a surge of guests.
Officials with the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority encourage passengers to arrive at least two hours before their flight departs, ensuring ample time for parking, security procedures, and picking up a pre-flight bite to eat. The newest dining option at JAN is a Dunkin’ Donuts in the east concourse, joining a list of four other food and drink experiences.
