A man is behind bars after allegedly killing his mother in Forrest County.
Javier Galvez, 21, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of his mother, Rafaela Galvez, 38, on Monday. Law enforcement responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the Glendale Mobile Home Park.
At the scene, Forrest County sheriff’s deputies found Rafaela suffering injuries. She was transported to a local hospital where she passed away.
Once police investigated the incident, they handcuffed Javier and took him to the Forrest County Jail where he awaits his initial court appearance.
