HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss.- Derek Beaushaw a teacher at Hancock County High School is behind bars after charges of sexual battery.
Lead investigator Glenn Grannan says that 31-year-old Beaushaw was accused of sexual misconduct with a student. The incident happened off campus but police did not give any more information than that.
Beaushaw was taken into custody on Tuesday with a bond set at $25,000. He is waiting to appear in court.
