Grammy-winning Mississippi bluesman Cedric Burnside has been nominated once again for one of the greatest honors in music.
Burnside is up for Best Traditional Blues Album for his latest album “Hill Country Love.” Released back in April, Burnside’s most recent album brought a unique flare to the blues scene, featuring songs like “Shake Em On Down” and “Juke Joint.”
No stranger to music’s biggest stage, Burnside won a Grammy award for his 2021 album “I Be Trying.” The longtime bluesman, who was born in Memphis and raised in north Mississippi, also comes from a family of distinguished musicians, including his grandfather — R.L. Burnside.
The 67th annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS on February 2, 2025.
