Jackson police have identified a man who was discovered deceased in a wooded area of the capital city.
Authorities report that the body was located in a patch of woods near Forest Avenue Exit and Clay Street on October 11. Law enforcement confirmed the deceased as 65-year-old Percy Mixon.
Mixon went missing in the Jackson area on October 2. His cause of death is unknown at this time and his family has been notified that he was found dead..
