An investigation is underway after an officer-involved shooting left one dead in Olive Branch.
According to officials, officers with the Olive Branch SWAT Team were attempting to serve an arrest warrant on Railroad Avenue when the subject pointed a weapon toward law enforcement.
Officers responded to the threat by discharging their weapons and causing fatal injuries to the subject. The subject’s identity has not been released at this time. No officers were injured
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has taken over the case and will share its findings with the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office.
