JACKSON COUNTY, Miss.- Two Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies saved the life of an 8-day-old infant.
When Nathan Fisher and Christian Pitalo arrived to a call on Saturday afternoon they never expected to find an infant unresponsive. The little girl had turned blue and her eyes were rolled back in her head.
Fisher and Pitalo immediately cleared her airway and began CPR. The baby soon began crying and regaining her color. Paramedics arrived and transported her to Ocean Springs Hospital where she is doing just fine.
Sheriff Mike Ezell told WLOX that the survival of this child was due to the quick response and ability to perform CPR. He says this is a direct reflection of all of the officers under their personnel.
