PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. – She was found stranded three weeks ago but she’s now back in the Mississippi sound.
The 2-year-old dophin was found in in a canal near Henderson Point in Pass Christian.
Workers for the Institute for Marin Mammal Studies quickly realized the dolphin couldn’t leave the canal on its own, so they decided to step in. The dolphins life was in danger since the salinity of the water was too low and the waters temperature were deemed too low as well.
The animal was given a satellite tag to track its movement going forward.
