JACKSON, Miss.- A Mississippi man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison, a year of supervised release and ordered to pay $1,000 in restitution for tampering with products.
42-year-old Alfred Thornhill of Sontag, was caught poisoning milk from a dairy farm in Crystal Springs. He was employed at the farm when he poured chlorine, acid, and bleach into the stainless steel container. He did this after the milk had been collected in March of 2014.
Luckily, The farm owner discovered the chemicals before the milk was picked up for transportation to the distribution center in New Orleans.
Thornhill confessed and plead guilty. He says he he poisoned the milk because he was mad at the farmer and wanted to hurt him financially.
