A Rankin County man is behind bars for a shooting that left one dead and one injured.
On Sunday around 9 p.m., deputies responded to a call regarding gunshots at a residence in the 200 block of Circle Drive in Robinhood.
Upon arrival, deputies located a 36-year-old male who was deceased due to apparent gunshot wounds. The second gunshot victim, an unidentified female, was located at a business not far from the residence. She was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive, according to police.
The suspected shooter, identified as Seth Tyler Wilder, was taken into custody at the scene and has been booked in the Rankin County jail on the charge of murder. His bond has been set at $1 million.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the fatal shooting. The name of the deceased victim will be released by Rankin County Coroner David Ruth once his next of kin have been notified.
