BATESVILLE, Miss.- All aboard for the first time ever in Batesville you can take a ride on The Polar Express.
This ride to the North Pole comes alive as guests hear the magical classic story as the train departs from Batesville for a one hour round trip to Santa’s home.
You’ll hear the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack as the story is read. Once you’re riding passengers will be served hot chocolate and cookies. Santa and his helpers will great everyone on their arrival where each child is given the first gift of Christmas, a silver sleigh bell.
The journey started on Nov. 20, but it isn’t too late to hop on. The rides will go through Dec. 27th on select dates. Departure times include: 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Those exact dates, fares, and times are available through www.grenedappolarexpressride.com or by calling 877-334-4783. Prices can range anywhere from $20 to $85 depending on the class of service and date.
Families are also encouraged to wear their pajamas on the trip.
