Six people have been confirmed dead, including a former sheriff, following a fatal car crash in Kosciusko.
According to WTVA, the people who died in the incident on Highway 12 were Mike and Jan Hutchinson, Devonte Ashford, 16, Travon Simmons, 15, Kobe Vaugns, 16, and Marvin March, 18.
Mike Hutchinson had previously served as sheriff of Choctaw County. He and his wife were in one vehicle while the teenagers were in the other when they collided head-on just past the Kosciusko-Attala County Career Technical Center.
As of now, the cause of the crash is still unknown as the Mississippi Highway Patrol investigates.
