A central Mississippi teenager has passed away after being struck in an accidental shooting.
Magee police report that officers were sent to a home at Sase apartments on Saturday around 10 a.m. after an individual had been shot.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered the victim, identified as 14-year-old Mitchell Page, deceased from an apparent single gunshot wound.
Through the course of the investigation, police determined that another juvenile, whose name was not released, and the victim were playing with the gun when it accidentally discharged fatally wounding Page.
The case is being turned over to the district attorney’s office for further review. No charges have been announced at this time.
