Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has confirmed that he will be returning to Oxford for his senior season.

Head coach Lane Kiffin broke the news on Thursday’s airing of RebTalk that the Kaysville, Utah native and USC transfer will be back for his third season as a Rebel and will forego the 2024 NFL draft.

“I guess I can kind of speak for him. He’s said he’s coming back, so we’re planning on him being back next year,” Kiffin said.

The Rebels’ coach also confirmed that Dart, who exited the field with an injury during the fourth quarter of Saturday’s blowout loss at Georgia, is healthy and will play against Louisiana Monroe this weekend.

In his two years at Ole Miss, Dart has thrown for 5,553 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions. He is one of 20 quarterbacks named as semifinalists nationally for the Davey O’Brien Award, which is presented annually to the nation’s best college signal-caller.

Dart has helped lead the Rebels to an 8-2 record and a No. 13 ranking in the 2023 campaign. Ole Miss is currently favored to win their final two matches to amass the second 10-win regular season in program history.
