CRYSTAL SPRINGS, MISS– Bleach, chlorine and acid were dropped into a dairy farmer’s shipment. The man who tainted that milk says he did it because he was mad.
Alfred Thornhill, 43, of Wesson tells the judge he poured chlorine, acid, and bleach into a container holding milk when he worked at a dairy farm in Crystal Springs. The farm’s owner found out about it just before the container was supposed to be shipped out to New Orleans to be sent to stores.
Thornhill says he was mad at the farmer and wanted to hurt his business. Thornhill will be sentenced in January. The maximum penalty is three years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
