LAUREL, Miss.- Sanderson Farms Inc. is recalling 551,900 pounds of chicken products coming from the Hazelhurst plant.
Officials say that the USDA analyzed a product obtained by a customer and found that it contained foreign material. However the products were not shipped directly to grocery stores or packaged for customers.
The products involved in the recall were produced on Sept. 17 and 18. So far the company has not reported any injuries or poor reactions from consuming the recalled product.
